Traci began her career in optometry 6 years ago as our Front Desk and Office Assistant. Since starting, she has become the insurance specialist for the office and can answer almost any question about insurances that you have. She assists on the optical floor and helps our patients with whatever needs are necessary. She has a southern hospitality that will bring a smile to anyone’s face.

Hollie Dobbs, CPO, CMA

Lab Technician, Optical sales, Sales & Marketing

Hollie joined Wilkes Eye Center as an intern from Athens Technical College in the Medical Assistant Program in May of 2015. She graduated with her certification in August of 2015 and hired on with us as an Ophthalmic Assistant and Scribe. Hollie now works as our Lab Technician, Optical sales, Sales & Marketing. She has since received her Paraoptometric Certification and is working on her American Board of Optometry Certification.

Melissa Wilson

Ophthalmic Assistant

Melissa started her journey here in 2016 as an Ophthalmic Assistant, performing the pretesting for all the patients that are seen. Since then, she works as a floater between the front office and the exam rooms, performs the extra testing requested from other doctors, she is also learning how to scribe, and working towards getting her Paraoptometric certification.

Ticie Edmond

Administration

Ticie is our “life of the party” front desk administrator. She is the first person you meet when you walk in and typically, the one who you speak to on the phone first, and always the one to make you laugh. She started with us as part-time help in 2015, after working in another healthcare field for 14 years, she decided to come work for us full-time.
